
Mufti Muhammad Zahid
Mufti Muhammad Zahid Sangharwi is a graduate from Dar-ul-uloom Karachi from where he recieved ‘Almiyah’ and ‘Takhasus fil Ifta’ degrees. He is currently heading Shariah Compliance at Pak-Qatar Family Takaful and is the Resident Shariah Adviser for Soneri Bank while being on the shariah board of multiple institutions and companies in Pakistan. Specialized in the sciences of Islamic Jurisprudence, Mufti Zahid focuses on presenting Shariah-compliant solutions for modern financial products and ensuring Shariah compliance of transactions. He is also a visiting faculty member at The Guidance Institute and conducts trainings on Takaful and Risk Management. Along with this, Mufti Zahid regularly conducts Dars-e-Qauran and Dars-e-Hadith sessions for both men and women and teaches courses at Hikmah Institute Karachi.

Mufti Khalid Bukhari
Mufti Khalid Bukhari learnt classical Islamic sciences pursuing the Aalimiyah degree from Jamiat us Suffa and Jamiat Darul Uloom, the largest and most renowned Islamic educational institution in Pakistan. He spent his first six years till Sadisa (sixth grade) at Jamiat us Suffa and for the last two years of his Aalimiyah degree, Mufti Khalid transferred to the prestigious Darul Uloom, Karachi. After graduating in 2008-9 Mufti Khalid enrolled at Jamiat ur Rasheed for Takhasus fil Fiqh. A year later after receiving formal authority to issue legal opinion, Mufti Khalid actively participated in promoting deen. As the Nazim for all Dawah activities (Head of Outreach) at Hikmah Institute Mufti Khalid specializes in Quran (Darse Quran), Arabic and curriculum designing for various Islamic subjects. He is regularly involved in delivering talks on the explanation of various Surahs in the Quran at different locations in Karachi. Mufti Khalid teaches at Jamia tus Sa’eed in the morning and spends the rest of his time at Hikmah Institute where he teaches several important books. His students adore him for his flamboyant and attractive teaching style.

Mufti Sohaib Abdullah
Mufti Sohaib has completed his 8-year Dars e Nizami from Maahd’al Khalil Al-Islami. After graduating in 2005, he enrolled at Darul Uloom Karachi for the 3-year Takhassus Fil Ifta. Since graduating from Darul Uloom, Mufti Sohaib has been associated with various renowned academic institutions teaching a variety of subjects including but not limited to Fiqh, Usool-e-Fiqh, Tafseer and Hadith.
Mufti Sohaib is a very well- versed and a much sought out teacher, and we’re lucky to have him join the faculty at Hikmah Institute in 2018. Mufti Sohaib is currently teaching Fiqh to our Dars e Nizami students, and is also the Head of Dars e Nizami at Hikmah Institute.

Maulana Khizer Khalid
Maulana Khizer Khalid a software engineer by qualification and a marketing executive by profession, manages a pharmaceutical marketing and distribution business in Pakistan . He received his BSc Computer Science from LUMS where he also took multiple courses in Islamic Jurisprudence, Law, Spirituality and Philosophy.
He started pursuing the study of Islamic sciences alongside his studies in 2008; studying Quran, Hadith, Arabic Grammar, Law and Legal theory under traditional scholars of Lahore and Karachi. He completed his Darse Nizami Curriculum concluding in the Aalimiyah degree in 2017. He regularly gives talks and conducts Islamic learning programs for students and young professionals at institutes of academic learning. He is also an active faculty at Hikmah Institute Karachi.

Maulana Shahzaib Aijaz
Maulana Shahzaib Aijaz was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. He received his B.Sc. Honors degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 2010 where he studied Economics, Finance, Islamic Marketing, Islamic Jurisprudence and Political Science. After gaining work experience in Strategic Marketing and Supply Chain at Unilever Pakistan and a leading energy corporation, he received his MBA degree from the Karachi School for Business Leadership (KSBL) in 2014 in General Management. Shahzaib is currently employed as a faculty for marketing in one of Karachi´s renowned universities. He also serves as a consultant for various companies.
Shahzaib completed his Dars e Nizami curriculum in 2018;covering an in-depth study of Quranic exegesis (tafseer), Prophetic traditions (hadith), Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), basis of developing Islamic jurisprudential rulings (usool-e-fiqh) and Arabic. He regularly organizes and conducts sessions for young professionals to guide them on strengthening connections with Allah.

Maulana Mahmood Hasan
Mualana Mahmood had memorized the quran at an early age. He did his Hifz ul Quran from Jamiat Tahfeez ul Quran, Multan . He had later enrolled in Jamiat ur Rasheed from 2001-2005 to pursue the Darse Nizami qualification. After completing the first five of Darse Nizami at Jamiat ur Rasheed, Mualana Mahmood shifted to Jamia Darul Uloom, Karachi for his last four years. Post qualification Mualana Mahmood is a regular Imam at the local masjid of Florida homes apartment complex in Defence Karachi. He heads and advises all arabic courses at Hikmah Institute and is also head of the examination department.

Maulana Saad bin Saud
Maulana Saad bin Saud memorized the entire Quran at the age of 11 and enrolled for the Alimiyyah Degree at Jamia tul Uloom Al Islamiyyah New Town Karachi which he completed in 2007. He completed his graduation and Masters from Karachi University in 2013 and is currently pursuing MPhil in Islamic Studies from the same. During his Masters he wrote multiple research papers including an analysis on the works of orientalists on Islamic History and the Life of Prophet Muhammad SAW. For many years he has remained a faculty at Jamia tus Sa’eed and is actively involved in Dawah activities. He is also a faculty for our Quranic Studies and Quran o Hadith Diploma program.

Maulana Dr. Saeed Ismail
Dr. Saeed Ismail did his MBBS from Dow Medical College Karachi in 1983 and received his MCPS in paediatrics from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 1986. Did his MBA from IBA and Pakistan Insitute of Management in 2007 with specialisation in Human Resource Management and Marketing. Fellow of SEDC LUMS with training as Master Trainer in People and Organization Management. Fellow of LEAD with training in Leadership and Environment issues from LEAD International. He is the Co-founder and Vice Chairman of the Health and Nutrition Development Society (HANDS). HANDS works in the sectors of health, education, poverty alleviation, rural and village development,disaster management and rehabilitation in 45 districts of Pakistan.
Dr. Saeed was also actively involved as Executive Director in Baanhn Beli (1983-2007) an NGO working in the sectors of health, education and rural development in Thar. He has extensive experience in Child health, Community development and Organisation management.
He has conducted numerous workshops on primary health care and community mobilization for doctors, postgraduates, paramedics, community health workers, mothers and various NGOs. Dr. Abdul Majid
Dr. Abdul Majid is working as a full-time faculty member in Department of Mathematical Sciences at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and a Postdoc in Mechanics from the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, Japan.
Along with his professional activities, he continued acquiring sacred knowledge of Islam over several years and has recently concluded his Dars e Nizami studies.

Maulana Mahmood ul Hasan
Maulana Mahmood ul Hasan has completed his 8-year Dars e Nizami from Darul Uloom Karachi. After graduating in 2013, his love and quest for knowledge has seen him take various roles in academia. Teaching Dars e Nizami students at Jamiat us Saeed since 2015, Maulana Mahmood is a specialist in Arabic Grammar and Tajweed, and has also taught Hadith, Arabic literature and Fiqh during the course of his academic career.
Maulana Mahmood ul Hasan is currently teaching Fiqh, Hadith and Arabic Grammar to Dars e Nizami students at Hikmah Institute.

Maulana Faheem Siddiq
A recent addition to our esteemed faculty team, Maulana Faheem Siddiq has extensive experience of the dars-e-nizami curriculum. He first completed his Hifz ul Quran from Jamia Rashidiya and then his Darse Nizami (Alim) studies from Mahud ul Khalil Islamiya in 2003. Thereafter, he acquired 1st division in a Masters in Islamiat (Shuba Quran wa Sunnat), followed by an MPhil (uloom-e-Islamiyah), both from Karachi University. All in all, Maualan Faheem has over 16 years experience in imparting knowledge to yearning students of both the conventional education system and dars-e-nizami madaris. In the former, he has taught at Naveed-e-Sahar Model School, Gujrat for 2 years and has been as a lecturer at Bahria College, Karsaz for another 7 years.
In case of islamic teachings, he has worked at Jamia tul Abraar, Gulberg for 6 years, after which he joined Hidayah Academy, a non-political educational institute for men dedicated to Classical Islamic Learning and Spirituality. He has been teaching there for 11 years. And now, alongside his duties at Hidayah, Maulana Faheem has joined our Hikmah Institute to profoundly benefit our students by his extensive experience and knowledge.

Mufti Muhammad Anas
Mufti Muhammad Anas did his Hifz ul Quran from Wifaq-ul-Madaris and then enrolled in Jamia Darul Uloom to pursue his Darse Nizami (Alim) studies. After graduating in 2014 with a 1st division Alimyah degree, he then moved towards learning the sciences of Islamic Jurisprudence. He completed his Takhassus Fil Ifta in 2015 and Takhassus Fil Muamlat in 2017, both from the prestigious Jamia tur Rasheed Karachi. During the course of his takhassus studies, he also pursued and completed an MBA in Finance from University of Karachi. After having completed his studies, Mufti Anas has immersed himself in teaching young minds, and has recently joined the Hikmah Institute faculty team to enrich our academics with his ilm and experience.

Mufti Muhammad Talha Bin Hashim
After completing his Hifz ul Quran from Jamia Qurania Gulberg Karachi, Mufti Talha pursued his first seven years of Aalimiyah studies at Jamia Abrar Gulberg Karachi, before transferring to Mahud ul Khalil Islamiya to complete his Daura-e-Hadith in 2010. Soon after, he enrolled at Darul Uloom Karachi for the 3-year Takhassus fil Ifta.
Mufti Talha has served as one of the Fatwa board members of the Darul Iftaa at Darul Uloom Karachi ever since he acquired his Takhassus degree in 2013. He has written close to 5,000 fatawaat on various issues under the supervision of the seniors at Darul Uloom Karachi including Mufti Taqi Usmani sb. Furthermore, he has been serving as a Shariah adviser for various NGOs and financial institutions since the last 4 years.
While Mufti Talha joined Hikmah Institute’s faculty team only recently in 2020, he has previously taught at Mahad ul Quran wa Sunnat for 6 years, and has been a faculty at Darul Uloom Karachi since 2013. He has taught many disciplines but his primary subjects of interest are Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and Nahv (Arabic grammar).

Maulana Abdul Aleem Shaikh
Maulana Abdul Aleem Shaikh completed his Hifz e Quran from Madressah Taleemat e Qurania in 2009, then enrolled there in Darse Nizami studies. After 4 years, he transferred to Jamia-tul-Saeed Karachi from where he completed his Almiyah studies in 2019. Simultaneously he completed his B.Com studies from University of Karachi in the same year. Post graduation he joined Hikmah Institute’s faculty team. He has taught many disciplines but his primary subjects of interest are Usool ul Fiqh
(Islamic jurisprudence) and Mantiq (logic).
Apart from his academic achievements, he has been involved with Dawah activities since an early age. He was the project designer for the 4 month Salik-e-Seerat program, a Team leader at the Taleem o tarbiat summer course and has conducted multiple Aeitikaaf workshops for Muta’akifeen. He is currently the Project manager of Ilm-o-Amal, an NGO working towards spreading the seerat and teachings of our beloved Prophet ﷺ. He has also been serving in Saeed school system as an economics teacher since last three years.
